
Last weekend, the Dutch Women’s Three-Cushion Championship (KNBB Diamonds Final) was held at De Eekhoorn in Oosterhout.
A tournament in which one thing became crystal clear: The Queen is back!

Therese finished the group stage with an impressive average of 1.229. She defeated Jetty Beersma 25–5 in 14 innings, Henny Hultermans 25–9 in 26 innings, and Sabine Bakker 25–7 in 21 innings. After the group stage, eight players advanced to the knockout phase, competing for four spots in the semifinals.
In the quarterfinal, Therese faced Ineke Kooistra and won convincingly, 30–7 in 24 innings (average 1.250). She then dominated the semifinal against Sylvia Eckel, winning 30–7 in just 17 innings, achieving an outstanding average of 1.764.
The final against Karina Jetten turned into a true thriller and was a delight for the audience. The championship was decided by a single carom. After a spectacular billiards display by both players, Therese ultimately claimed victory. With a 30–29 win and an overall average of 1.309, she secured her 18th national title.
