This afternoon Therese played for the first time for Burgmans Biljarts in the Buffalo Leaque. In the “Gouden Leeuw” in Bergeijk, where Burgmans Biljarts had to compete against HCR Prinsen, she played against Arno de Kleine.
Probably a dream debut, with an unprecedented spurt by Therese; directly from the starting blocks. After a fantastic run of 12, it was 24-3 (in 7 innings). After the break De Kleine tried to get back into the game, but Therese managed to win relatively easy 40-16 (in 24 innings).
With this match Therese closed a week in which she won in both the Belgian, German and the Dutch league within 7 days. Last Monday she played for BC de Ploeg against BC Deurne. The game against Jean van Erp was won by Therese with 42-41 (41 innings). Yesterday she played for SCB Langendamm against Coesfeld and won with 40-39 of Andreas Niehaus (31 innings).
All in all a wonderful preparation for the World Championship in Izmir. At the World Championship, which are being held from 18-20 September, Therese will play her first game on September 18th at 16.00 (Table 2). Opponent is the Turkish Guzin Mujde Karakasli. Other opponents in the group stage are the Austrian player Helga Mitterbröck and the Colombian Castillo Paola.
